I painted our whole main floor last summer and learned the hard way that a cheap roller makes the job take twice as long with crappy results. Ended up getting a proper set with a few different naps (short for smooth walls, medium for textured) and a sturdy frame + tray. It made such a difference – smooth application, less splatter, and way fewer touch-ups. Cost me about €35–€45 for a solid kit that included extras like a pole adaptor. If you're doing multiple rooms, it's worth spending a bit more than the bargain-bin ones. I picked one up from https://www.paintlab.ie/collections/paint-roller-sets because they had good options with synthetic covers that don't shed lint, and the reviews mentioned great coverage on Irish walls (damp issues etc.). Still using it for touch-ups – holds up well. Grab one with a microfiber or high-density foam if your walls are fairly smooth. Saves time and frustration big time. Good luck with the painting!
