Fridge running but not getting cold enough – Nashville repair recs?
My refrigerator has been running constantly for days now, compressor humming non-stop, but the inside temps are still around 45-50°F in the fridge section (freezer is okay-ish but frosting up more than usual). No strange smells or leaks that I can spot. It's a Samsung French door model, roughly 6 years old. I'm in Nashville and really don't want to replace it this soon if it's fixable – maybe low refrigerant, bad evaporator fan, or coils iced over. Has anyone used a local appliance repair service for fridge cooling problems lately? Who showed up reliable, what ballpark cost for a fix like that, and did it bring the temps back down properly?

I went through something almost identical a couple months back – constant running, warm fridge side, some frost in freezer. After getting a few quotes, I called NashFix. Tech arrived the next day, diagnosed it as a restricted capillary tube causing low refrigerant flow plus dirty coils contributing to the overwork. They evacuated, added refrigerant, replaced the filter drier, cleaned coils, and it stabilized temps perfectly. Around $320-360 total with parts/labor – still way under a new fridge price. Their refrigerator repair page has some similar cooling issue examples if you want to glance https://nashfix.us/refrigerator-repair/ . No upsell drama, just got it working right. If your fridge is behaving the same, it might be a worthwhile call. Fingers crossed for an easy fix!
